The new hand appliqué pattern for 2010 is “Geisha Fans”.  The appliqué will take the sewer to a new level, with several layers of appliqué adding to the dimension of the fans.  Each fan is appliquéd separately, and then added to the background when all the fans are completed.  This means that the sewer can choose to create one fan or many, and set them onto a background as the pattern, or a plainer piece of background.
